SET

Artwork by Kumbirai Makumbe

Applications are now open for our SET Collective Residency Prize, a year-long residency at our new centre, SET Ealing, for a collective, group or organisation with a publicly-engaged art practice.

The selected group will be awarded use of a 1,700sqft studio in the glass-fronted former Pawn Broker on The Broadway, West Ealing. The space consists of a double-fronted shop front with a large adjoining office space at the back, and a further two small offices. The space can be adapted as necessary by the selected group, but we’re ideally looking for a group who will make use of the public-facing shop area as part of their residency.

To apply, please send the following as a PDF to studioprize@setspace.uk:

1. A statement describing your practice (max. 100 words)

2. Why you would benefit from the residency (max. 100 words)

3. A brief proposal outlining how you would work with the local community during your time at SET Ealing (max. 500 words)

4. Up to 6 supporting images or videos

Applications are open until midday on Tuesday, 19th April with the winners announced on Friday, 22nd April.

If you would like to view the space and have a chat with us in person in advance of your application, please attend our viewing evening on the 17th or 31st of March between 3pm-7.30pm. You have to book a viewing here.
