DESCRIPTION:Exhibition dates: 26 September – 4 OctoberLocation: Ground floor project space\, SET Vauxhall\, Camelford House\, 89 Albert Embankment\, London\, SE1 7TPOpening hours: Daily\, 2-6pm Public opening event: Friday 25 September\, 5-9.30pm Admission: Free \n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\nTo mark a decade of SET\, we’re bringing together over 80 current and former SET members for a special salon-style group exhibition in the ground floor project space at SET Vauxhall. \n\n\n\nFor ten years\, SET has worked to turn vacant buildings into places where people can make\, exhibit\, and gather. From artist studios and exhibition spaces to music venues and community projects\, our centres have always been about keeping creative space genuinely affordable\, inclusive\, and accessible in a city that constantly prices people out. \n\n\n\nWhile our buildings provide the structure\, SET has always been defined by the communities inside them. This exhibition serves as a snapshot of the work\, ideas\, and histories that have shaped our community over the last ten years\, bringing together a decade of artistic practice under one roof. \n\n\n\nSET Community Archive Display\n\n\n\nAlongside the exhibition\, explore our archive display celebrating the people and spaces that have built SET over the last decade. The display features a custom London site map by Daniel Gatenio\, mini sculptures of past SET centres\, historic SET ‘artefacts’\, and copies of our brand-new publication: SET’s Handbook for Opening Alternative Spaces. \n\n\n\nPop-up bar\n\n\n\nDuring the opening night on Friday 25 September (5-9.30pm) and throughout the Open Studios event on Saturday 26 September (2-8pm)\, our new ground floor pop-up bar will be open serving drinks. \n\n\n\nGetting here\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Camelford House sits on Albert Embankment\, right next to Vauxhall Bridge.\n\n\n\nTransport: A 3-minute walk from Vauxhall Station (Victoria Line\, National Rail\, and Vauxhall Bus Station).\n\n\n\n\nRSVP note\n\n\n\nEntry is completely free and open to all. You’re offered fresh\, homemade parathas\, served with butter\, yogurt\, and a selection of Indian pickles. While tucking in\, you catch up with friends and settle in as the food fills you with comfort. Once plates are cleared\, a steaming cup of masala chai and a sweet treat follow as everyone gathers to watch a film—the perfect end to a soul-nourishing meal. \n\n\n\nThis week’s menu\n\n\n\nParatha stuffing:  GobiAll food served is 100% plant-based. \n\n\n\nAllergen information: \n\n\n\n\nParatha: gluten\, soy\n\n\n\nSweet treat: soy\, tree nuts\, sesame\, gluten\n\n\n\nMasala chai: oat milk\n\n\n\n\nThis week’s film: ISH (2025)\n\n\n\nISH\, Imran Perretta’s beautiful film\, is an incredibly raw and visually striking piece of cinema. I loved how beautifully it was shot\, with an incredible score and natural\, unfiltered performances. Most of all\, I loved how tenderly it portrays the love and friendship between a group of young boys in Luton who are often portrayed as misfits. It felt fresh and deeply human\, while still drawing on traditional forms of cinematography.  \n\n\n\nTimetable:\n\n\n\n7-8pm — Paratha time8-8.15pm — Time to get some chai and a sweet treat and a chance to go to the restroom before the film starts8.15pm — Film starts11pm — End of event \n\n\n\nAbout the organiser\n\n\n\nTava Rakh is a plant-based food business run by Mala Lal. Tava Rakh means “put the hot plate on” in Punjabi—a phrase Mala’s mum would say\, signalling the start of cooking (and tasty food coming!). Growing up in a Punjabi household\, Mala was constantly surrounded by rich\, indulgent Indian comfort food.
