DESCRIPTION:Exhibition dates: 26 September – 4 OctoberLocation: Ground floor project space\, SET Vauxhall\, Camelford House\, 89 Albert Embankment\, London\, SE1 7TPOpening hours: Daily\, 2-6pm Public opening event: Friday 25 September\, 5-9.30pm Admission: Free \n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\nTo mark a decade of SET\, we’re bringing together over 80 current and former SET members for a special salon-style group exhibition in the ground floor project space at SET Vauxhall. \n\n\n\nFor ten years\, SET has worked to turn vacant buildings into places where people can make\, exhibit\, and gather. From artist studios and exhibition spaces to music venues and community projects\, our centres have always been about keeping creative space genuinely affordable\, inclusive\, and accessible in a city that constantly prices people out. \n\n\n\nWhile our buildings provide the structure\, SET has always been defined by the communities inside them. This exhibition serves as a snapshot of the work\, ideas\, and histories that have shaped our community over the last ten years\, bringing together a decade of artistic practice under one roof. \n\n\n\nSET Community Archive Display\n\n\n\nAlongside the exhibition\, explore our archive display celebrating the people and spaces that have built SET over the last decade. The display features a custom London site map by Daniel Gatenio\, mini sculptures of past SET centres\, historic SET ‘artefacts’\, and copies of our brand-new publication: SET’s Handbook for Opening Alternative Spaces. \n\n\n\nPop-up bar\n\n\n\nDuring the opening night on Friday 25 September (5-9.30pm) and throughout the Open Studios event on Saturday 26 September (2-8pm)\, our new ground floor pop-up bar will be open serving drinks. \n\n\n\nGetting here\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Camelford House sits on Albert Embankment\, right next to Vauxhall Bridge.\n\n\n\nTransport: A 3-minute walk from Vauxhall Station (Victoria Line\, National Rail\, and Vauxhall Bus Station).\n\n\n\n\nRSVP note\n\n\n\nEntry is completely free and open to all. DESCRIPTION:SET Social is back with our monthly Community Day & Market on Sunday 4 October\, 12-5pm. \n\n\n\nCome down and browse our indoor and outdoor stalls filled with everything from handmade goods to vintage treasures\, jewellery\, prints\, zines\, bakes\, collectables and more. There’ll also be free drop-in workshops throughout the day\, food and drinks from our bar and café. \n\n\n\nEntry on the day is completely free and you don’t need to be a member to join the fun!Please note: SET is a registered arts charity. Every penny spent at the bar goes directly toward our projects and the work we do for our community. Because of this\, we kindly ask that no outside drinks are brought in. \n\n\n\nCalling all traders!\n\n\n\nCalling all makers\, creators\, side-hustlers\, collectors and vintage treasure hunters – come set up your stall with us this Easter! \n\n\n\nWe’re welcoming a wide mix of traders selling:  \n\n\n\n\nHandmade crafts\, ceramics\, zines\, art\, and prints\n\n\n\nVintage clothing\, second-hand goods\, collectables\n\n\n\nCandles\, home bakes\, records\, books\, and more\n\n\n\n\nBooking options: \n\n\n\n\nInside Big Table – 120 cm rectangle\n\n\n\nInside Small Table – 60 cm round\n\n\n\nFloor Pitch (on the stage or in the hall) – bring a rug\, blanket or clothing rail\n\n\n\n\nIf you’re a charity or raising money for a charity email tabitha@setspace.uk with details of your organisation. No experience needed\, just come along! \n\n\n\nArt Workshop facilitated by Club Bananas Full details TBA. \n\n\n\nImportant information\n\n\n\n\nStall setup from 11:30am\n\n\n\nMarket opens to the public from 12pm\n\n\n\nPack down stalls by 5pm \n\n\n\nCafé and bar open all day (proceeds support SET’s charitable projects). The aim is to make Marx’s writing accessible by working through it slowly\, sharing thoughts\, questions and ideas as a group. \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome\, whether you are new to Marx or have read him before. There’s no need for prior knowledge\, and all readings are available for free online. \n\n\n\nEach session focuses on a set section of Capital\, with time for open discussion and contributions from everyone who wants to speak. October’s sessions will focus on part 2 of chapter 3 (Volume 1) and parts 2-4 of chapter 21 (Volume 2). Weekly sessions take place on Sundays\, with a pool table reserved for league games. \n\n\n\nCan’t make a Sunday? No problem.
