DESCRIPTION:Ever wanted to grow your own food\, or just spend a quiet Sunday surrounded by green things and good people?The DIY Community Garden at SET Social is a shared space for planting\, learning\, and spending time together outdoors. Whether you’re watering seedlings\, pulling weeds\, sharing snacks\, or simply sitting in the sunshine\, there’s always something gentle and satisfying happening in the garden. \n\n\n\nThe garden is looked after collectively by SET Social members\, local neighbours\, and anyone curious enough to get their hands a little dirty. We grow vegetables\, herbs\, and flowers\, and care for the space with curiosity\, collaboration\, and kindness at the heart of things. \n\n\n\nSunday sessions are open\, informal\, and pressure-free. No gardening experience is needed and there’s no expectation to stay the whole time. Bring yourself\, a mug for tea\, and if you like\, a plant or cutting to share. \n\n\n\nWant to get involved?\n\n\n\nDrop by during one of our gardening sessions every Sunday 2-4pm. DESCRIPTION:How can we rethink our relationship to harmful technologies? \n\n\n\nJoin the Permacomputing Club every Monday at SET Social for a weekly meet-up exploring this question and more sustainable ways to use and think about digital tools. \n\n\n\nInspired by permaculture\, permacomputing is an anti-capitalist project that challenges the environmental and social damage caused by modern technology. Drawing on ideas from degrowth\, ecologism\, decolonial thinking and intersectional feminism\, it looks for alternatives to the energy-intensive systems shaping today’s tech landscape. \n\n\n\nEach session emphasises collaborative discussion over solo tinkering.
