During this session\, you’ll group read a short story from the book and discuss what made shivers run down our spines. There is no expectation for attendees to read before the session. \n\n\n\nDesigned as a relaxed and welcoming space\, the circle encourages open discussion\, shared reflection\, and community connection through literature. Readers of all backgrounds are welcome\, whether deeply familiar with the text or joining out of curiosity and interest in West African storytelling. \n\n\n\nAttendees are welcome to grab a drink during and after the circle at the SET Social bar or café. \n\n\n\nIf you’re experiencing barriers to accessing a copy of the book\, the host is happy to email a digital copy to potential attendees. The World as a Parent invites participants into a two-hour session exploring our relationship with the world — politically\, existentially\, emotionally — through open conversation and clay-making. Tracing how humans have historically related to the world this way\, through burial practices\, scripture\, architecture\, and medicine\, the workshop opens up space to reflect on our own embodied sense of belonging to a wider world. \n\n\n\nLed by Yotam Rozin\, artist\, animator\, and writer\, the workshop draws on research for his forthcoming book of the same name.  \n\n\n\nNo experience is needed\, just a willingness to get your hands in the clay and join the conversation.  \n\n\n\nAll materials are provided.
