Brown Burton’s Suit – a retrospective of works by Harry Bix
25 March @ 18:00 – 22:00
Harry Bix turns 40 this year, and you’re all invited to celebrate.
Brown Burton’s Suit is a retrospective of works by the artist, taking place on Wednesday 25 March in the Sky Suite on the 17th floor of SET Vauxhall.
This exhibition also comes as Harry reaches ten years of having a studio at SET, and will be the inaugural exhibition at SET Vauxhall since the building opened last October.
SET Co-Founder Roland Fisher-Vousden will also give an introductory speech on the night.
If you can’t make the opening, the exhibition will open again on Saturday 28 March.

About the artist
Harry Bix is an artist and lecturer in fine art and design, whose work has been shown at major UK galleries including Tate Modern, South London Gallery, ICA, J Gallery Shanghai, Cubitt Invites, Camden Arts Centre, Southwark Park Galleries, City Gallery Glasgow, Stanley Picker Gallery and The Horse Hospital.
Alongside his studio practice, he runs East Anglia Records, which began as a party night showing friends’ work and releasing compilation albums. His work often explores the role of the MC as a community ambassador.
He recently completed a residency at High House in Norfolk, where he was making filming devices from hazel sticks. Bix is also part of the performance act ‘<3 (Less Than 3)’, who will perform in April at Cafe OTO and Counterflows Festival in Glasgow.
In 2024 he received a DYCP grant from Arts Council England, which took him to Vienna to work with Austrian art collective Gelitin, helping them build a public fountain.
