Feminist Reading Group

The Feminist Reading Group meets monthly to read and discuss feminist texts.
Open to all.
We’ll make sure the texts we read are easily and freely available. We want the environment to be friendly, welcoming and encouraging. What we read will be shaped by what attendees want to read. Our main focus will be feminist theory (broadly defined)—i.e. attempts to theorise oppression, gender, sexuality, and the relations between them.
Each session focuses either on a section of a longer text or an entire shorter text. We chose what to read together. At the end of each meeting, we’ll collectively agree on what we read next.
Attendees are welcome to volunteer to present, but there is no expectation that they do. Participation depends on what participants want to do; nobody will be made to speak or present unless they want to.
