SET Stage Gallery Open Call 2026

SET Stage Gallery is now inviting applications for its 2026 programme.

Based on the stage at SET Social in Peckham, SET Stage Gallery operates as a small but ambitious, volunteer-led contemporary art space. Since launching in 2023, the gallery has become a core part of SET Social’s cultural programme, hosting exhibitions, workshops, talks, screenings, and reading groups that prioritise artists with limited access to traditional venues.

The gallery is dedicated to supporting underrepresented voices and experimental, process-led practices. Working within an active social space, SET Stage Gallery encourages work that is socially engaged, thoughtful, and responsive to both the physical site and its surrounding community.

About the open call

SET Stage Gallery is seeking proposals from early-career artists interested in presenting an exhibition, workshop, talk, or live activation as part of the 2026 programme.

Applications are welcomed from artists and practitioners working across disciplines, including visual art, moving image, sound, performance, fashion, design, and research-led practice. Priority will be given to artists from marginalised backgrounds, with particular consideration for those who are raised or currently based in Southwark.

Selected applicants will work closely with the gallery’s curator, Ayiesha Sankoh, to develop and realise their proposal within the gallery space.

What to know before applying

SET Stage Gallery is a small, independent space. While artist fees are prioritised where possible, production resources may be limited and will be discussed transparently with selected applicants in advance. The programme values care, dialogue, and collaboration throughout the development process.
