Peckham Chess Club’s Chess Fest is a day of chess, activities and fun, open to everyone. The day is centred around a ticketed blitz tournament, with food included. The rest of the day is free to attend.

All proceeds go towards supporting the running of the chess club and SET Social’s recovery following their temporary closure earlier in the year.

The line up is as follows: 

2-4pm: free coaching for beginners and puzzle competition – who can solve the most puzzles in 20 minutes?

4-7pm: Ticketed Blitz Tournament with food. Friendly and competitive, with 5 minutes on the clock and prizes for players of all abilities.

7-9pm: Free play, music, and good times

About the organiser

Peckham Chess Club is a friendly, social chess club with a weekly Wednesday night meet-up at SET Social in Peckham, from 6pm until late. They also organise tournaments and chess teaching in the community.
