SET Film Festival 2026
5 November – 5 December
SET Film Festival returns for its fourth edition this November, bringing together contemporary, artist and archival film across a month of screenings at SET Social, Peckham.
The programme features four short film nights, a feature-length screening and a free evening archival film and performance. Each night explores a distinct theme, with selected screenings followed by Q&As with the filmmakers.
This year also marks an exciting milestone for the festival, with the introduction of its first online screening on Wednesday 25 November and its inaugural awards night on Saturday 5 December, celebrating work across four categories: Audience Choice, Special Mention, Best Artist Film and Best Documentary.

SET Film Festival Accelerator Programme
A free three-month incubator offering curatorial support, peer exchange and mentorship to three UK-based filmmakers and moving-image practitioners.
Applications are now closed for the 2026 cohort.
About SET Film Festival
SET Film Festival is an independent, grassroots platform for contemporary, artist and archival film, curated by Amina Ali, Ellie Dobbs and Verity Monroe.
Founded in 2023, the festival has grown into an international platform for experimental practices, emerging voices and artists’ moving image that sits outside conventional exhibition and distribution contexts.
Held each November at SET Social, SET’s arts and social club in Peckham, the festival unfolds across a month of weekly film nights, bringing documentary, narrative and artists’ moving-image practices into dialogue. Alongside a curated short film programme, the festival presents international feature films, with a particular focus on trans-national, radical, and Pan-African cinema.
The festival’s archival strand explores moving-image history through community participation and solidarity. Previous editions have explored collective voice, activism and local cultural histories, reflecting the festival’s ongoing belief in film’s capacity to re-enchant our understanding of the world and inspire change.

Previous editions have brought together international and local filmmakers working across a range of forms, with each programme shaped around a distinct theme through dialogue between the works.
