Opening Thursday 15 October at SET Vauxhall, KICK is an exhibition of artist buckets, bringing together more than 30 artists, curated by Sarah Davis and Alex Stone.

Taking the multiplicity of the bucket as its starting point, KICK weaves together artists who have expanded the uses, contexts and concepts of this humble domestic object.

The title is an act: to kick down a door, to shift an obstruction. Framed on three sides by the MI6 building, the River Thames and the Houses of Parliament, KICK sits at the centre with a bucket full of defiance, asking what it means to be an artist in London.
