Peckham Life Drawing offers experiences that go beyond traditional observational drawing.
You’ll start with poses so fast you won’t have time to think (just draw), before moving on to longer poses where you can spend more time exploring your own unique creativity.
Mid-session, there’s a short break to enjoy a drink at the bar and chat about life drawing as a contemporary creative practice.
There is often nudity, always an amazing model, and occasionally a merkin.
All abilities welcome. Some materials provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own favourites.
About the facilitator
Luce Russell (MA RCA) is a Peckham-based artist. Since 2017, they have been inviting everybody to draw with Peckham Life Drawing, creating and facilitating a diverse range of sessions that widen the experience of life drawing beyond purely observational work.
Approaching life drawing as both a noun and a verb, Luce’s sessions experiment with queering traditional life drawing, diversifying who, how, and where representation is created and shared as a community. They invite serious play between paper and skin through collective acts of embodiment.
