Saigon Experimental Film Festival: Special Screening, ‘Me, Myself and I’

A special showcase of experimental film shorts from Saigon, Vietnam, and beyond.

This screening features works from past editions of Saigon Experimental, alongside films distributed and circulated on the internet. Emphasising a DIY approach to filmmaking, the films employ a wide range of visual techniques, including 3D animation, green screen effects, and Amazon image products. Utilising surreal characters and fantastical costumes, they offer varying levels of humour while providing moments of introspection and critical examinations of memory and identity.

Saigon Experimental Film Festival is a Ho Chi Minh City-based initiative launched in 2019 by two emerging artists and filmmakers, which has since expanded to a larger team. Each year, SEFF curates a 1-2 day event showcasing a selection of short films that are experimental in narration, editing, or visual content, carefully chosen from an international pool of online submissions.
