SET Social Community Day & Market: Grand Re-opening Fundraiser Special

4 July @ 12:00 17:00

We’re so excited to bring back our Community Day and Market, this time on the first Saturday of the month 4 July, 12-5pm.

While we love our regular markets, this one is incredibly important as it marks the daytime launch of our massive SET Social Grand Reopening Fundraiser. We have a beautiful afternoon lined up packed with independent stalls, drop-in workshops, a raffle, and the monumental return of Peckham and Nunhead Elvis.

Entry to the daytime market is completely free, and you do not need to be a member to join the fun. However, if you can spare the pennies, any kind of entry donation would mean the world to us. Come browse, support local makers, and help us kick off this new chapter!

Alongside a market of 30 independent stalls featuring local makers, zines, prints, vintage clothing, handmade pieces, and more, we have a full lineup of free, drop-in activities.

Back by popular demand after their packed-out winter show – this time on the BIG STAGE! Do not be late for this, the room fills up fast!

Supporting the venue

The recent unexpected six-week closure during our lease transition has hit SET Social hard. Because our core operational costs didn’t pause while our doors were shut, we’re now left with a financial gap to bridge. That’s why we’ve launched a £23,000 community fundraising campaign to cover our baseline overheads, steady the ship, and keep our future programming thriving and accessible.

We’re aiming to clear our first £5,000 hurdle this Saturday. If you’re looking for ways to support the space while you hang out with us at the market, here is how you can help:

  • Visit the Bar: The most direct way you can help us move forward is by grabbing your drinks from our café and bar. Every single penny spent goes right back into keeping our doors open and supporting our arts and community programmes. Because of this, we kindly ask that you bring strictly no outside drinks into the venue or garden space. <3
  • Enter the Grand Raffle: Grab a ticket at the bar during the day to win amazing prizes donated by local Peckham businesses and the wider SET community. Winners will be announced at 9pm!
  • Become a Member: You can join up as a SET Social Member for just £12 a year to directly fund the venue’s ongoing arts, music, and community programmes.
  • Donate on the Day: Look out for the donation buckets dotted across the venue.

If you can’t make it down this weekend but still want to support our recovery, please consider making a digital donation to our campaign online.
