The West African Literary Circle invites readers, thinkers, and the culturally curious to gather for its monthly circle exploring literature from across West Africa and its diaspora.

For the Halloween circle, you’ll be discussing Vagabonds by Eloghosa Osunde, focussing on scary tales, childhood warnings and the paranormal. During this session, you’ll group read a short story from the book and discuss what made shivers run down our spines. There is no expectation for attendees to read before the session.

Designed as a relaxed and welcoming space, the circle encourages open discussion, shared reflection, and community connection through literature. Readers of all backgrounds are welcome, whether deeply familiar with the text or joining out of curiosity and interest in West African storytelling.

Attendees are welcome to grab a drink during and after the circle at the SET Social bar or café.
