Kiln Hire
Looking for somewhere to fire your work in central London? We offer flexible kiln hire for independent makers. You don’t need to be a studio member: simply book the firing you need, drop off your pieces, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Firing options
We fire to two standard temperatures: bisque at 1000°C and stoneware at 1240°C.
You can hire anything from a quarter shelf to the entire kiln. Please keep in mind that individual shelf bookings may take a little longer to return, as they are fired according to the studio’s firing schedule.
Note on glaze firings: If you are hiring less than a full kiln, your work must be compatible with our 1240°C stoneware glaze firing.

- Our studio kiln is a Nabertherm 220L electrical oval top loader.
- Interior dimensions: 87 cm W × 54 cm D × 37 cm H
- Shelf size: 54 cm D × 43.5 cm W

Please note: We require at least 2 weeks’ notice for bookings. Your slot is confirmed after payment is received. If you’re hiring individual shelves, please double check that your pieces fit the space – and if in doubt, just ask!
