The Cherwell Group, the new owners of the site where SET Social is based, will be holding a second round of public consultations for their development plans at SET Social on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 September.

Cherwell will be sharing their plans for the re-development of the site 55a Nigel Road. There will be members of their team present to talk to and meet.

SET is not organising these consultations, nor has SET agreed to anything formally with The Cherwell Group. 

SET has been involved in open discussions with Cherwell about their plans, including the potential re-provision of a community space as part of the redevelopment. 

As any plans progress we will ensure we provide opportunities to discuss what SET’s involvement might look like with our community. 

We encourage anyone who would like to find out more about Cherwells development plans to attend the consultations as this will be the community’s chance to interact with the developers in person, see what they have planned for the site and voice thoughts.

To be completely clear: SET Social is not closing anytime soon.

The planning phase for the site has only just begun and no development will happen for the foreseeable future, so we are open as usual and our full schedule of events continues exactly as planned.

SET Social exists for our members and the local community, and we promise to keep you entirely in the loop as things progress. We will ensure that all the members, community groups, and neighbours who rely on our space are kept fully informed about our long-term future in Peckham and our ongoing programme.
